It is fantastic how humbling it can be when someone enters into something new thinking, you drop some seeds in the ground sprinkle with water and you end up with luxurious veggies!! Now book after book, article after article, and advice upon advice I now know people are not born with a green thumb. And although mine is currently bright green from cleaning the underside of the mower deck out, that still means very little. Things are improving however. Plants are growing, perhaps a little slow but are growing never the less. We have replanted beans for a second crop and already we have plants in six days that are bigger than the first planting after three weeks.
So we may have gotten a slow start, however we are planning on a second half that will more than make up for it. I almost forgot the best part
Have a fantastic weekend, and I hope to see everyone out at Crossroads Festival in Lima Aug 3rd. Bubbaloo Farms will be at the Gulf station by the bed race, and Anna will be at the church lawn with Homegrown designs by Bubbaloo Farm with lots of goodies. Get out and enjoy the weather! David Kirkwood
